Scrabble Flash Review

The Scrabble Flash Cubes is a portable, electronic version of the classic Scrabble board game. If you're a fan of the classic board game, then you will also enjoy this version as well. It consists of 5 SmartLink tiles that keep track of your words and points electronically. You can play two types of solo games or play against a friend by swapping tiles. The portability makes it convenient for road trips and vacations. Since the game consists of only 5 SmartLink tiles, it appeals to younger players too.

The game can be stored in its lightweight storage box. It is a great game for players 8 years and up. It requires 5 CR2032 batteries and comes included.

You have the option to play solo or play with others. There are two types of solo games. The first is the Flash option in which your spell as many words as you can from the same five letters within 75 seconds. Each five-letter word that you spell adds an additional 5 seconds to the clock.

The second option is Five Letter Flash in which you receive five new letter each time you spell a word. This is also done within 75 seconds.

When playing with friends, you play what's called Flash Pass. Once a player has spelled a five-letter word, the tiles are passed on to the next player. If the current player does not spell a word within the allotted time, they are eliminated from the round. This continues until there is one player left who is then the winner.

The game can also be cut back to four tiles for younger players.

While this version of the Scrabble game is completely portable, it still makes for a fun family game night. Word games are and will remain a great way to bring people together for quality time. The neat thing about Scrabble Flash is that it keeps track of everything for you. It knows if you've already used the same letters and it keeps track of points. Storing it away is super easy too because of its compact size, you can take it anywhere.
