Carpet Stains Keep Coming Back?

Carpet can help make a home beautiful but it can also be tough to keep clean. Fortunately, my family and friends know to remove their shoes before walking into our home. Sometimes though, it isn't always possible to request people remove their shoes. There are even times when we don't have time to remove our shoes if we're just running in and out. This is why it seems like carpet stains just keep coming back.

There are various ways to remove carpet stains. One method that we use on a regular basis is to keep a can of carpet spot remover handy. When we see a stain, we immediately treat it with a spot remover. This usually does the trick. If you have a pet, then you may need something stronger. For example, we have a cat and there have been plenty of times when he has vomited on the carpet.

For situations like this we first treat the stain with a spot remover and then use a hand-held spot vac. This tends to work but what works extremely well is steam.

Most steam vacuum cleaners work by pouring a cleaning solution (follow the directions) into it and then going over your carpet slowly to remove stains. We tried this with the steam vacs that you can rent and it made a huge difference. It is worth owning a steam vacuum if you have a lot of carpet in your home. I think it is a good investment in order to keep your carpet clean and looking well.
